Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all from the Board of Directors.
We had limited participation in the Handgun Shoots this year as everyone was quite busy.
The Military Shoot was successful in October. They would like more people to come out and see what goes on. They may even let you shoot a round or two.
CLUB BUSINESS:
The Annual meeting is coming up in January 2010.

Only one Director position is open, Brent Warnecke's. Brent has accepted his nomination. Anyone else interested in being nominated should contact one of the Directors or come to the meeting to put your name in.
Winner of the Remington 870 shotgun was M. Miller. Good shooting.
There was discussion at the last director meeting to increase membership dues. The last increase was back in 2003.
The main reason for the increase is that we are still having problems with ricochets going to the City Disposal Plant. We discussed what the clubs next action should be to eliminate ricochets and it was decided to put in a better target system with no metal knock-downs on the pistol side of the range. The price of this will be substantial, but it needs to be corrected.

We are happy to report that after some weather related delays, the new security fence and gates have been installed. See the Photo's Page for before and after comparison photo's.

Raffle ticket for a chance to win a new 12-gauge Remington 870 Wingmaster Special Edition will go on sale starting October 3rd at the Tri-State Gun Collectors Gun Show held at the Allen County Fairgrounds. This shotgun features embellished receiver engraving and a 28" vent-rib barrel with three (3) Rem-Choke tubes. Drawing will be held on December 6th.
Tickets are $1.00/each or 6 for $5.00 and can be purchased at the following locations:

Starting on or about October 1st (weather permitting) we will be replacing the current fence and gates at the range. This project is expected to take three to four days to complete. For the safety of those completing the project, the range will be closed during work hours.

The club will be holding it's annual Spring Clean-up Day at the range on March 28th, starting at 9:30am. Aside from the regular clean-up duties, we will also be working to complete several improvements. All members are urged to stop out and lend a helping hand.

Starting Sunday, April 5th we will begin hosting bi-monthly Varmint Matches. These matches are open to both club members and the public alike. All matches will start at 10am and take place on Sunday of the first full weekend of the month and Sunday of the third full weekend of the month. The last match of the season is scheduled for October 4th, 2009.

THE ANNUAL MEETING WAS HELD ON 01/19/09. THERE WERE 32 ACTIVE MEMBERS PRESENT. PRESIDENT CULP GAVE THE STATE OF THE CLUB MESSAGE UPDATING THE HIGH POINTS OF THE YEARS ACTIVITIES. THE MEMBERS HAD A GOOD AND SUFFICIENT SUPPLY OF FOOD THAT WAS ENJOYED BY ALL.
THE BUSINESS MEETING WAS CONDUCTED AND THE FOLLOWING WAS ATTENDED TO:
· THERE WILL BE A RAFFLE STARTING AT THE FEBRUARY GUN SHOW.
- THE FINANCIALS WERE READ BY FULLER AND THE CLUB IS ON SOUND FOOTING.
THE NOMINATION OF NEW DIRECTOR CANDIDATES WAS CALLED FOR AND THE FOLLOWING WERE PUT FORWARD: MARTIN, FULLER, MOREO, AND FERGUSON ALL ACCEPTED AND WITH NO OPPOSITION THEY WERE VOTED IN UNANIMOUSLY.
BEING NO FURTHER BUSINESS THE MEETING WAS CLOSED.
DIRECTORS MEETING WAS HELD ON 1/25/09 AND THE FOLLOWING DIRECTORS WERE PUT IN OFFICE:
